The Famous Players' star feature drama, "Zaza," in. five .acts, is the outstanding attraction of a high-grade programme at His Majesty's Theatre. "Zaza" is a great emotional play. In it briiliant and handsome Pauline Frederick appears to great advantage. She is peculiarly fitted by temperament and appearance for the role of Zaza, th.c passionate and tempestuous favourite of one of the gayest music halls of Paris. Zaza, so the story goes,' has brought the youth and fashion of Pans to her feet, but she is proof against the wiles of Cupid for a Jong time. Then she meets JJernhard Dufrene, and his passionate wooing finds a response. Her love is a flame, and consumes her whole being. Then she discovers that her lover is already married. She becomes a tigress in her desire for revenge, her hatred of her deceiver is intense, and she -iirns furiously upen some fitting object for her vengeance—his wife and child. But here comes the great climax which is the secret of Zaza's popularity. The majesty of her soul reveals itself, and in a magnificent'denouement she presents a memorable picture of tho woman who can love, lose, and forgive. The suppoi-ting items include an amusing Vita graph comedy," When it Rains it Pours," which creates the heartiest laughter, a charming Japanese scene study, "The Island of Kyushu," and a capital copy of the everpopular Pathe Gazette.
