The income tax realised 124 million dollars, an increase of 44 millions compared with 1915.
SYDNEY, November 28,
As a result of a conference of interState Temperance Alliances it was decided to raise the question of prohibition throughout the Commonwealth. The council appointed representatives from various States, whose efforts are to be directed to secure State prohibition as opportunities arise, and utlimately national prohibition.
AMSTERDAM, November 27
