James Joseph Coyle, flaxmill hand, was cha d a>- the Police Court with, failing tj make application to enrol under the Military Service Act. The defendant said he had served in the British army and had come to Ncv Zealand ire in America, en route to Australia, looking for a lost broths. A constable. gave evidence that defendant said: "If the Government want me, they will have to chase me." Defendant was convicted and sentence reserved. ;
