Anetther well-known New Zealand boxer has laid down his life for his /country. Private Alfred Gault, oi Auckland,, who has died of wounds, Was at one time professional light-weight champion of the Dominion. The many friends Mr Alex Strac> han will learn with pleasure that advice has been received that his son, Corporal Douglas Harper Strachan, who went atwa.y with the Main Body, and is now serving in Egypt-with th© Wellington Mounted Rifles, has had the military medal conferred on him by His Majesty the King, for good work in the Battle of Romani.
