In the telegram from Pahaatiua giving the effect of the pronouncement by the Hon. W. F. Massey and Sir Joseph War-et^ as to the understanding, this Was alluded to as an understanding with the electors, but Mr Ross, one of the candidates, claims that the arrangement was not with the electors, being only between the parties.
