RAILWAY WORKER'S DEATH
STRUCK BY AN ENGINE
AUCKLAND, Mar. 12. The circumstances under which a railway labourer named Patrick Mattlmore (aged 60), met his death near Parnell railway tunnel on the sth inst., were further inquired into this morning, when the adjourned inquest was resumed before Mr E. C. Cutten, S.M., acting as' coroner. ,
The Coronei found that the cause of death was shock from injuries received when the deceased was struck by a railway engine. The deceased had thoughtlessly walked on to the 'Jine when the train was approaching. No blame was attachable to anyone.
