WANGANUI GREEN

FULL RINK TOURNAMENT

A full rink tournament was held on the Wanganui Green yesterday, which resulted in some very interesting and excellent play. Six riuks competed under the following conditions: Three games of sixteen heads each, and in the event of two or more teams tying in the number of games won, the aggregate number of points scored to determine the winner.

The tournament resulted in a win for Atkinson from Laughton. of St. John's by a very narrow margin of one point in tho aggregato points of each during the three games played.

FIRST ROUND

Follett, Bell, Hewitson ankl Laughton (sk.) 24 v. Cormack, Goner, Milne and McFariane (sk.) 8.

McLean, Brcokfield, London and Keesing (sk.) 6 v. Stione, Paterson, Ross and Atkinson (sk.) 27.

Harden, Hoggard, Foster and Cohen (sk) 17 v. Currie, McNiven, Smith and Ham (sk.) 9.

SECOND ROUND

McFariane 15 v. Atkinson 14; Keesing 1-5 v. Ham 11; Colien 17 v. Laughton 16.

THIRD ROUND

Laughton 19 v. Keesing 17; McFarlaue 15 v.. Ham. 10; Atkinson 19 v. Cohtm 10.

SUMMARY

Atkinson, 2 wine aggregate points 6f); Laughton; 2, 59; Cohen, 2, 44; McFarlane, 2, 38; Keesing, 1 38; Ham, 0, 30.

Tho green, notwithstanding the rain of the night before, played perfectly, and altogether the tournament was most enjoyable.
