(By "EARLY BIRD.") The Doncaster Handicap will be run at Rand wick this afternoon.

Racing at the Auckland and Wairarapa meeting commences to-day, both concluding on Monday. The Feilding, Kiccarton and Waipukurau (one day) meetings will be inaugurated on Monday.

At the Wairarapa fixture, those that will be well supported to-day are Hoopoe (Trial Hack), Overrate and Arlington (Tewaka Welt-tu1), Peroneal and Odessn (Easter Handicap), Berg and Goldstream (Murray), Ratana and Manitau (Whangamoana Handicap), Arrahna and Lady Daksford (Mahahi Handicap), and Peronilla and Amber and White (Wardel! Handicap).

The opening event at Ellerslio to-day is tho Tradesmen's Handicap, for which La Rcina and. Bonney Helen will be the favourites. Merrimax and Black Northern will he a strong order in the Brighton Hurdles as will also be Hymettiii« ami Cis nYa in fhs Great Northern Stakes. Backers will have a big field to select from in the Easter Handi-r-v but they will ii all probability place ih >'• reliance on Pavlova or Cheddar ami Potc.i. Spalnsli and Lord Lnpin look good in the President's Handicap, while Kitty Bellairs and Hadj are nol: overburdened in the Onslow Stakes.
