SWIMMING
A POPULAR OFFICIAL
A. pleasing little ceremony took place at the Town Baths the other evening^ when the swimmers of that Bath assembled to mark the closing of the season, by making a presentation to their popular -custodian, Mr. Robert King. The captain, Mr. A. Muller,, in making the presentation on behalf of the swimmers, referred to Mr. King's many sterling qualities and the impartial manner in which he treated one and all alike. The Borough Council was fortunate in having secured such a painstaking and obliging official. Mr. Muller hoped the same good feeling which existed now! would remain in the .^future. The sneaker's remarks were"®endorsed by Messrs Swan, Armstrong, Roche Hall and Thomas, al Itesfifying to Mr. King's good qualities. Mr. King, on rising to respond, was greeted with loud cheers. In reply, he said anything he had done for the "boys" had been a pleasure* and hoped by next season they would still be the same happy family. Three hearty cheers were then given for - Mr* King.
