He was carrying a-tbag of stolen jewels valued..at. £3000, Later,, seven"confederates were arrested. The gang carelessly left implements behind on .several occasions, and as all were purchased from one fii-m the police traced the buyers. The gang carried out substantial coups 'n London, Nice and elsewhere.
