TRIUMPH AND B.S.A. SWEEP THE BOARD AGAIN. At the Norm Canterbury Motor Cyclists' Dlub's beach race meeting at New Brighton on Saturday last there were two events. The first was a -18 miles race. This was won by W. Hollobon (Triumph). Second place was filled by C. Bonnington (Trumph). l/oth these riders are amateurs. Fastest time was put up by F. Howarth (Triumph), who filled third place. The second event wsa a side-car race over 1G miles. . J. H. Michael (8.5.A.) won the rac«?. G. Bonnigton (Triumph) secon-l. and. G. B. Brown (Triumph) made fastest time for single cylinder machine. Michael's win was particularly met itorir.::s. as his sidecar tyro punctured f<;;;r miios from home. He stopped and removed the tyre, finishing on the rim. The magnificent performance of the Triumph and H.S.A. in the club's three days' trials in December will still be fresh in the memories of motorists. The latest successes nrove that neither the Triumph nor B.S.A. flukes its victories. They can always repeat their performances. The side-car successes prove what we have always maintained: that the 3J and 4 h.p. single cylinder machine has plenty of powerfor side-car work. There were twin cylinder machines in both, events on Saturday. Call and see the new 1914 Triumphs and B.S.A.'s. ADAMS, LTD., Agents, Triumph and B.S.A.'a, WANGANUI.
