PERSONAL.
Tho death occurred at Christchurch yesterday of William Henry Wynn Williams. Deceased was born in 1828. He came to New Zealand early in the 50's, and was a member of the Canterbury Provincial Council, and sat in the House of Representatives for the Heathcote seat from 1881 to 1884. He was closely identified with the early history of Canterbury. He retained a memory of events of the pioneer days. Among the New Zealand passengers on the 'Medina, which has arrived at Melbourne, are: Messrs Baillie, Whittaker, Blundell, Troupe, Burton, Boswill, Gurney, Covertson, Josephs, Gainsford (and wife), Mr. Inkster ond Miss Inkster, Mr Carragh (and wife and daughter), Mr Price (and wife), Dr Blackly (and wife). Lady Ward and daughter, Mesdame's Watson and Smith.
