ELLWOOD TRIO.
Fully five hundred people failed to gain admission to the concert given by the Ellwood trio and, Mr John Prous'e last evening, the Lyceum, Theatre being packed half an hour ,befpre the concert be^an; ThS Beethoven ano* Ha^ydn trios were much appreciated. George Ellwood's ssoloswere played with' a fine appreciation of the composer's intention, while Harry's violin solos showed a pure tone, and added to the reputation he has made in Wanganui. Polly Ellwood accompanied as usual with skill and judgment. Mr John Pronse was in excellent voice, and ndded much to the enjoyment of the audience by the artistjc renderings of his selections. The company leave for Wellington this morning.
