MINERS DEMAND MINIMUM WAGE.
SURFACEMEN AND " THE CITIZEN."

LONDON, Aug. 1. The Miners' Federation passed a resolution demanding a minimum of five shillings a clay. The surfacemen did not approve of members contributing a shilling per annum as a free grant towards the Labour paper the "Daily Citizen," but recommended investing a sum equal to a shilling per member for three years, Avith representation on the Board.
