FAVOURITE UNPLACED. (United Press Association.—Copyright.):LONDON, July 31. Tho Goodwood Cup resulted: —Catmint 1, Aleppo 2, Lance Chest 3Princo Palatine finished in a distressed condition. Mr. Joel stipulated for a reduction in his price to £40,000 if beaten this season, while Mr. Pilkington. tho owner, stipulated that the horse should not be exported. Prince Palatine was regarded as n certain winner, and carried a lot of money, but cracked up and made no show. He was very groggy when pulled. Ho is reported to have hit himself in the race. Catmint's victory was due to Maher's clever riding (It was cabled yesterday that Mr. J. B. Joel had purchased Princo Palatine for about £50,000.)
