At Stony River on Wednesday there was a small entry, sales being made as follows: —Store cows £2 175..t0 £4 7s. fid., 15-months steers £3, springing heiferc £7 10s. 6d. to £7 55.,. lambs 10s. 3d., 2 or 3 extra good pens of Jersey in-oalf heifers, all good colours, quiet and showing well forward, sold exceptionally well at £7 lOs. to £9 25., tho latter being especially choice. Clearing Sale.—On Friday last at Midhirst for Mrs. C M. Lnder's sale there was a very largo attendance, with good competition for the dairy cows, which averaged about £8 10s., best cows showing well forward, sold at from £9 to £11 155., others not quite so forward from £6 15s. to £8.105.., late calverr, £4 os to £6 os., weaner heifers £1 18s. 6d., weaner steers £1 4s. Gd., Jersey bulls £3 4s. Gd., gelding £23, maro ■?.?;2 10s., milk-carfc £11 10s.. flog-cart £6 155.. moiwer £8 55., aged gelding £4 os.
