BARMAIDS FINED
(Per Pross Assnniotion ) AUCKLAND, June 16. Iho sei-vmg of Norman J. Walsh, a lad aged seventeen years, with liquor, resulted in two barmaids, Marion Abbott, of the Thames Hotel, and Millie Hunter,-of tha Star Hotel, being fined £2 each and costs. It was contended m each case that Walsh appeared more than 21. The case against the respective licensee was dismissed, Mr E C Cutten, S.M., holding that as the licensee had not delegated autharitv to anyono else and as the sale was against his express instructions, and without his knowledge, there was no liability.
