These arc Mr. Roderick Murra- manager of tlu* water rcrtres at Naseby since 1893, and Mr.. R. X S. Hickson, bookkeeper in tho Treasury. It is understood^ that tho Commissioners intend to retire an officern ivho have reached or passed tho rigo; of - 6V). A number of messengeis liavo .received notice of retirement- as from Decbmber 31st next, with threo monthr,' l^a-ve on pay from September 30th.
