A TALK ABOUT MOTOR-CYCLES AND SIDE-CARS.
Every experienced motor-cyclist knowr, that for the solo work'the standardised 3>h.p. single cylinder .motorcyclo such as tho Triumph or B.S.A. (to namo two of tho leading makes) is up to all rer, uirc*moTitri in tho matter of speed, hill-climbing capacity, and all tho rest of it. But when it's a matter ot hauling a sidecar along as well it becomes a question as to whether the £>--h.p. machine can develop tho powe.-. Wo wanted to set Lie this point, and it wia- settled for us in tho recent sidecm- trial over the hilly courso from Chnstchurch to Akaroa and hack. Two lrmmnhs and one B.S.A. were entered find they •came through witli tho utmost credit, beating three out of tho four twin-cylinder machines in the comnetition. The ability of tlie two-speed B.S.A. and two-speed Triumph as sidecar machines was thus demonstrated rjght up to tho hlrfc. In respect x:economy of petrol and usefulness for purely solo Avork these machines, of course, score heavily over their twincylinder competitors. They >aro cheaper to run. their reliability has never been cnllerl in question. Mid they have prov--ed their superiority to all other makes of motor-cycles in a score of competitive testr, H this country. Those wanting n reliable motor-cycle for either singlo or sidecar work we confidently recommend tho three-speed Triumph at £87 10s., or tho two-speed B.S.A. at £85. In side-cars wo have a big variety. Call and see our stock of special sidecar motor-cycles, motor-cycles and sidecars. ADAMS'. LTD.. AOENTfI THE AVENUE, WANGANUI.
