(Per Press Association.") _ PALMERSTON N, Dec 23. The N S.W. Teachers to-day beat Manawatu Teachers at Palmerston by two wickets, one minute before the call •of time. The weather was fine, but the ground was, not quite dry, owing to the heavy dew, and it was slightly difficult to the earliest batsmen.-_ + Palmerston chose to bat, and .Butterworth opened for the local meji with McLean.
