LONDON, Dec. 15

Two sons of General Mahmoud, who was a great favourite of a former Bey of Tunis, are claiming £12,0QQ,000 from the" Tunisian Government.

The clainf is an ancient one. It was orignally submitted to arbitration before Napoleon 111. in 1856, and his award favoured the claimants.

The case is now -being re-opened before tho French tribunal in Tunis.

Tunis is a territory on the north coast of Africa, adjacent to Tripoli. It is a French protectorate, and there are French tribunals to settle disputes between whites or between whites and natives.
