£17,000,000 TO BE SPENT

The supplementary estimates for the German army, which have just been announced, deal especially with the enlarging and perfecting of he aerial fleet.' ■ ' About £17,000.000 is to be spent on this branch of the service, and Germany hopes to have the most effective collection of airships and the most proficient personnel in the world.
More than this, large sums are to be devoted to the higher organisation of the cavalry and artillery.
