AUCKLAND, December 22. The working of the grading system for teachers lias been, the subject of an inquiry by a special committee of th« Auckland District Institute of the New Zealand Educational Institute. This committee submitted a report to a special meeting of the Institute yesterday. The report made various recommendations, one cf the principal being that men and women teachers be graded on sparate lists. This recommendation was negatived, an amendment to t>he effect that both sexes be graded on th« one list being carried* The meeting also decided in favour of the appeal board being a board of inspector*.
