Budhu t-estified that Dr Clark made the powdered glass out of a lamp chimney and instructed witness to give it to his wife, but to be careful siot to put it in his children's food. Subsequently Dr Clark and Mrs Fulham asked him if he could arrange to kill. He promised to reply later. Witness spoke to Sukhia, and replied that h6 was unable to do it for a hundred (rupees; he wanted more. He took Sukhia to Fulham's house, and Mrs Fulham conversed with Sukhia for.a long time. Payment (beforehand was demanded and promised when the work was-done. It was arranged that the moriey should be entrusted to Budhu. Abo-tit a week later Dr Clark told Sukhia that'he was handine; the money to Budhu, a.nd Added, "Do' the job to-night.":.'- Witness1 accompanied Sukhia and Ramp-all to Budha Kanjore's house. Another man whom Sukhia found at the bazaar joined them. Budha Kanjore handed Ramball a large knife, and all went to Dr. Clark's bungalow. Dlr Clark arrived,* and removed a barking dog. He quitted while Budhu remained outside. Ramball returned, saying he was unable to distinguish the -mother and daughter. Budhu pointed out the former's bed. The two who had not been arrested carried the lamp. Ramiball and Sukhia. stood behind the curtain near tho daughter. Budha Kanjore took the lamp, and the other man gave +he woman a- heavy cut, and directly she shrieked, another cut. She writhed, and rolled over. Subsequenttly, Ramball and Sukhia clamoured for payment, and were referred to Dr Clark. Witness was not aware whether they were paid, because he was .arrested. .
