• One of the. finest programmes se-en in Wanganui wes shown at the Opera Hons© last evening by Mr Percival, and, needless to say, -was greatly enjoyed by the very large iaudience. Much interest naturally 'attached to the second edition of PercivaPs Chronicle, which was a splendid production. It showed all the latest local happenings, including the opening of the season on the Gonville Bowling Club's green, opening of the cricket season on Cook's Gardeusy.-opftn.mg of the local rowing season, in which picturesque and highly amusin gincidents are illustrated, the Gonville Fire Brigade at practice, scenes in Wellington, including some fino yachting snaps and some lovely Wanganui River views, including the beautiful Ohura Falls. The "OhronicW was warmly ap'pj!aud<#r. The programme was rich in dramas, but the star was a fine dramatisation of the well-wnown drama "The Midnight Wedding" The'sensational fea-' tures of this powerful drama are faithfully presentee!. Another drama -which held the interest of the audience was "The Lighthouse Keeper's Daughter," showing how fat© dealt with a girl and the man who loved her. "In the time of Brigandage" was a picturesque drama, while "An Indian Summer" was another of those fine productions by the.'famous A..8. Company. Two beautiful seenics were also shown. One consisted of views on the/ Isle of Wight and the other of Geradmer and its surroundings. Three screaming comics, " Good in the Worst of us," "A Peppery Affair," and "April Fool,!' completed a magnificent programme. TO-NIGHT'S BENEFIT. To-night a benefit will be given in aid nf the Durietown School funds. Lastr. sight's .magnificent set of pictures will be repeated, and thero should be a large -audience to witness it.
