The Moa leaves for VViellingtoß .this laifte'rnoon. Two arrivals at the town. wharf botweea eloren o'clock and midnight last night were the Kapiti aflid Oortio, from Wellington- -mid Wostport respcotavely. The Kapiti brought a cargo of general, while the Gertie has coal to dis•■chaT£«.
An arrival in port yesterday afternoon was the Awahou (Letivin sund Co., local agents), from Glasgow, via Suez and Torres Straits and Newcastle. The Awaihon ia a comparatively new steamer, tlbis being her maiden voyage, and she thus has the distinction of being the first.vessel to make a trip from the Old Land to Wanganui direct. The Journey was a rather long one, tho steam<w leaving Glasgow on tho first day in April, the whole voyage therefore occupying S5 days, including stoppages at va/rdoua''ports etn r^utc. The voyage waa of am .uneventful iiature, vory fair weather being met with on the way diit. Tbo Awahou presents a yerytrim appearance,'<and although a skter-ship to tih© Himitangi, differs from the latter vessel in appearance. She as of 323 tone gross and. 152 tons net. The Awahou is fitted Tip with the latest methods an ship building, and is entirely up-xo-di»te. Captain H. M.
