The Times' Peking correspondent reports that though the edict curtly orders Yuanshikai (who was previously deposed) to Wuchang, and does not attempt any reparation for his dismissal, ho has accepted, in the grave emergency, the hardest post in the empire. He is apparently confident of the loyalty of his 'northern army, which is his creation.
Thirteen traiVspri t trains left Peking and Paotingfu oii Saturday and Sunday. Eleven leave to-day and ten on Tuesday. Alb'.^cthor 20,000 ,combatants will concentrate at the third station noith of Hankow. -
