Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report: We held our usual monthly sale on Friday and offered a good catalogue to a fair attendance of buyers. Bidding throughout was not spirited, and we found it necessary to pass a few lots After the sale we were able to quit th( bulk of the passed-in lots at prices equa to ruling rates. We quote:— Wool.—Crossbred, fine 7d to Bd, medium 6|d to 7£d; dead, 5Jd to 6£d cnitchings, 3|d to sd; black, s£d lambs, 6-Jd. Skins.—Crossbred, 4|d to 6£d, medium 4;{d to 6d, inferior 4|d to od; deac and damaged, 4d; hoggets, 4^d to s£d dead, 3kl to s£d; black, 4d ; butchers pkina at per piece, crossbred fine 4s tc 6s Id, medium 4s 7d to 7s Id, salted, 3s lOd; pelts, Is 3d; dead, 3s lOd. Calfskins—Sound, 5Jd to lOjd pei lb; cut and slippy, 3d to 6£d; yearling. 6d to 6id. Hides.—Ox, medium 6d to 6 7-8 d: ox, light 6 : \d: cow, medium 5 7-8 dtc U-J-d, light aid' to 6 3-Bd, cut 4£d, heifers and steers. 6 3-8 d; bulls, 4£d tc 5 3-8 d ; horse. 7s to 10s. Sundries.—Tallow, tins £24 10s per ton, drumsi £24, casks £24. Horsehair, Is 3d per lb. Cow tails, Is per doz.
