A PRISONER RECAPTURED.

DUNEDIN, October 15

Alexander Walquist, who escaped from custody, on January 24th, while being brought to Dunedin from Oam-ar-i, to be tried on a charge of robbery, was re-captured near Middlemarch yesterday. In the interval Walquist had made fleeting appearances in various districts in central Otago, but the police had been unable to catch him.
