CHURCH NEWS.
Mr. Luxford's subject at Trinity Wesleyan Church to-morrow evening will be "Joy, an essential element cf character." Mr. H. Rice will sing "The Better Land." The Baptist Church (Ingestre St.) will celebrate its 29th anniversary. The services will be conducted by theRev. P. H. Radford, of Mosgiel, and late of Western Australia. Special" music will be rendered by, the Choir. In the afternoon at 3 o'clock Mr. Radford will address a men's meeting in the Church, to which all men are very cordially invited. The universal observance of the"Children's Day" will be observed at Dublin St. Church at both services. Appropriate hymns will be sung and. suitable addresses given at each service. A public address on the subject "Prophecies concerning ancient Babylon and the River Euphrates" will be delivered at the Druid's Hall (Lodgeroom) invthe evening at 7 o'clock. Miss C. W. Christie; the noted Theosophical lecturer, who has been visiting Stratford and Hawera thi« week, will lecture on "Life afterDeath," in the Fire Brigade Hall in the evening.
