PALMERSTON N., June 2. At Palmerstois North on Thursday, sheep met with good competition, and all lines were sold at satisfactory prices. Cattle also sold well. Sales wero effected at the following quotations: Forward ewas 11s 4d, forward wethers 12s 3d to 12s lid, 2, 4 and 6tooth ewes in lamb 11s 6d to 12s lid, 2-tooth ewes in lamb 13s 3d, Shropshire ewes in lamb 4s 6d, empty forward ewes 8s 7d, store ewes 4s to 6s Id, cull ewes in lamb 5s lrl, forward lambs 9s, ewo lambs Bs, 3-year steers £5 ss, forward cows £3.15s to £4, dairy cows in calf £4 to £5 17s 6d, weaners 255, ■store cows 31s to £2. _
