Viennese and Berlin newspapers give prominence to a speech by Ludwig, son of the Prince Regent of Bavaria, during the unveiling of a monument in memory of the Battle of Helmstadt in 1886. Ludwig advised the German's in Austria to unite in maintaining their- position at Home, and not commit high reason by. sending longing looks across the frontier.
The speech is considered a warning to Pan-Germans that the propaganda may damage the solidity of the AustroGerman alliance.
