John James Patterson, solicitor, of Darinovirke, who has just completed a short sentence of imprisonment for a breach of' the Bankruptcy Act, appeared before Judge Cooper at the Supreme Court to-day to undergo a public examination.
The hearing is likely to be lengthy

In tho ca*o against John Brown Cathro, an elderly man, on a charge of indecent assault on a 10-year-old girl at Hawera, the jury disagreed and a new t^ial was ordered for to-morrow.
