The directors thought it advisable to. have the whole of the original capital, subscribed before proceeding to erect works, and it is only lately that 'the. last of tlie 25,000 shares'were taken up. Upon matuf'e coiisideration the Board, considered it. desirable to considerably enlarge the original scheme. Great improyemtents have lately taken place in cem%p.tlhiakiing machinery, and it is of the'ui/mo^st importance to have a thoroughly- up-to-date plant, which wilL manlufaeture: chfraply and in sufficient quantify to take full advantage of tha steadily*,increasing demand. As the result of •carefuL enquiries, it was considered!; that a plant turning out at normal speed 400 tons per week would ber thij most suitable. ' The Board being, .advised tha'o such" a plant can be installed for which will provide, all necessary . buildings, machinery„ power, tramlinej, and wharf, accordingly recommended the increase of the company's capital to £60,000, and a resolution to this effect was passed by the. 'holders of the 25,000 shares on the 20th. ( day,jof August, 1908. Mr G. L. Wilson, representing the. company; is staying a^. Foster's Hotel v and Will be glad to give all information to < enquirers.
