The Mayor (Mr €. B. Mackay) opened the proceedings ' and on behaJf of Mrs Mackay and family,, thanked all }\'ho had rendered assisteiice. During the evening a sympathetic telegram horn Mr J. T. Hogan, who is attending Parliament, was read. Prior to the* concept tho. Salvation Army JBand., rendered .a fine programme outside the hall. A danco followed the concert, the hall being racked. A word of praise is due to Mr H. Glubb; who organised tho concert programme and acted .a$ stage ni^anager. also to Mr H.
