FREEMAN R, JACKSON AND CO.'S STOCK REPORT.
On 23rd inst., at Raetilii, we had a fair yarding of 1600 sheep and 130 mixed cattle. The attendance waws good, bidding for cattle rather dull, but disposed of nearly all yarded after the sale. Sheep maintained late values, and all sold with the exception of a couple of lines.
On the 24th inst., at Raurimu, we had several lines of slieep and cattle yarded, and disposed of most of the entry. We quote:—
At Raetihi. —3 to 5-year steers £4 5s to £4 7s 6d, 4-year bullocks £5 to £5 7s Gdj 18-months steers 35s to £2 ss, 2£year steers £3 Is, empty cows 35s to £2 10s, fat bullocks £6 10s, rape lambs (good) 9s 4d, good lambs 6s 3d to 7s,
medium lambs 4s, Romney ram lambs lls, mixed fat slieep 8s 4d to 9s, 2, 4, 6, and f.m. breeding ewes (good) 9s 8d to lls 9d, 6-tooth to f.f.m. breeding ewes 7s 3d to 7s 6d f.m. ewes 3s 9<|, 4s 8d to 5s 6d, Lincoln rams 25s to |30s, Romney do. 30s. ; . ;..".,V At Raurimu.—Fat cows (light) £3- 10? to £3 14s 6d, forward empty cows £2 12a 6d to £3, 15-months steers 36s to £2, mixed 18-months to 2-year cattle £2 2s 6d, f.f.m. breeding ewes 6s 6d to 6s 9d, others 4s 3d to 5s 6d, 6-tooth to f.m. ewes 10s 3d to lls, 2-tooth ewes 10s to 10s 9d, good lambs 6s .6d, fat and worward ewes 6s 6d.
