SPORTING.

NELSON J.C.'S SUMMER MEETING

ANTICPIATIONS BY "MULTIFORM'!

The following are my selections for the above meeting:— First Hurdles.—South Star. Welter Hack.—Marstone. Trial Hack.—Hillsong. Nelson Cup.—Tikarawa. District Hack.—Rangina. Gdandstand Handicap.—Tikarawa. Hope Handicap.—Handsome Cap.

Boxes have been engaged locally on Mr. Stead's behalf for Nightfall, Savoury, and Delaware, in view of the Wanganui Autumn Meeting. I understand that the reason for the Avithdrawal of Mr. R. Patterson's trio —Stafcition, Tupdno, and Destruction— from Tilley's mentorship is that Mr. Patterson was dissatisfied with Price's riding, and plainly said so. As a proof of his confidence in Price, Mr. Tilley let the horses go from his stable in pi'eference to dispensing with Price's services.
