General Nogi reports the completion of the surrender of Port Arthur, including 59 forts, 546 guns (wherof 54 iare large-calibre), 35,252 a-ifies, 82,670 shells, 60 torpedoes, 2,266,800 cartridges, 30,000 biligrammes of powder, 1891 swordis, .four battleships (not including the Sevastopol), two cruisers, fourteen gunboats and destroyers, ten steamers, eight launches, twelve miscelLaneous craft (aibove water, destroyed, or sunk), and 35 additional small steamers which require slight repairs.
Reu'ter sa|ys that there are sixteen surviivors of the third Japanese naval party 'which was sent to block the mouth of Porto Arthur. They are going to Saseho.
Thirteen thousand wounded Russians were eventually brought to Japan. '•
