The Highlanders have certainly gone in foi. a- big ven ture, but we do not.think that they will 'lave'reason to regret it; but, whatever of ■success rewards their efforts will, to a 'arge extent, be due to the untiring energy ,)i. Lieut. J. G. McNaught. upon whose houlders lias fallen the whole of the secretarial work and the bulk of the responsibility connected with the undertaking.
