CRICKET.
H. I. JONES AND SON tA.D WILLIS. ' The annual match between ihe representatives of the above firms took place yesterday, wHen the Willisites were beaten by seven runs. As a result of the game, the Jonesites reckon that they are a bit too good in the cricket line, and are thinking of taking on polo. We be'ieve the captains met yesterday, and decided to engage the carters' horses for the game, and the skippers have already commandeered the fiery steeds of Con and Jimmie for their own use. In the game yesterday Messrs Aldworth, Charters, and Harvey did yeoman's service as umpires for their respective sides. Mrs Willis kindly provided afternoon tea, which was greatly appreciated.
