The War ffice has accepted an offer of 200,000 pounds of tinned fresh mutton, ana 100,000 pounds from Victoria. ALBANY, November 1. Arrived, the S.S. Waiwera. The day after leaving Wellington she ran into heavy weather, and it continued rough until Bass' Straits ; thence it was fine. Two horses died, but the others stood the trip well. The troops are in excellent health and spirits, and have taken kindly to ship life. They are pleased at the arrangements or. board. / They landed, and received an ent'' j tic reception. Their physique was muc-l admired. They were eager to learn the t latest from the Cape, and feared to arrive • too late. The- Ladysmith battle has saus fied them that there is fighting ahead. The Waiwera bunkers 800 tons of coal, and leaves to-night. She is expected to reacn the Cape in 20 days. ■ ADELAIDE, November 1. Tne Medic sailed this morning.
