Presentation of Prizes.

About 40 footballers assembled in the Vistoria Hotel in the evening, when Mr Mr A. D. Thomson, vice-President of the New Zealand Bugby Union presided. The Chairman in his remarks, praised the Kaierau team for their good training. , Though Waverley were first at the beginning of the season tho Kaierau - were easily first at the -close. The Wanganoi Juniors had won the cup for the second time, their first win being as far back as 1888. He then handed the trophies to Messrs McLean (Kaierau) and Delves (Wanganui). Orders for the, prizes won by the Collegiate Sohool team and the winners of the races were also handed over. Daring the evening songs were sung by Messrs Cooper, Blair, Delves, Thomson, Firth, Craig, and Lyell, and Mr Bayne gave a pianoforte selection. A very hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr Thomson for his cervices as chairman, The Ipudon correspondent of theOtago Daily Times says :— An addition to New Zealand's pure-bred stock is going out by the s.s.
