POLICE COURT.
Wednesday, Mat lOi'h, (Before Messrs F. M. Spurdle and Jo3oph Paul, J.P.s). LARCENY George Osraan, alias William Simmons, was cbargod on the information of the polioo with the larceny of a pair of trousers and ono rug of the valuo of ,£1 153, the property of Honi Waitore, at Turakina on or about the 29th of April last. Accused pleaded guilty, and he was accordingly convicted and sentenced to two months' imprisonment in the Wan. ganui Gaol, with hard labour. KIOTOUS BEHIVIOUB. Mary Collins, alias the " Doric," a loose character, was charged yrith behaving iv a riotous manner. Prisoner pleaded not guilty, but on the evidence of the police she wns convicted and sentenced to ono month's imprisonment in the Wanganui Gaol. The same person, on a charge of beins an idle and disorderly person, with no visible moans of support, wae convicted and sentenced to a month's imprisonment with hard labour, to run concurrently with tho previous sentence.
