The Natives of the Pakowhai and surrounding Pah's intend having races about Christmas time, in the Pakowhai paddock. It will be a mile course over good level ground. Subscriptions from their neighbour* will "entitle all -horses to compete, when 'therday is decided on, it will be adverted in the local papers.
