The Governor, Sir Hercules Robinson, and Lady Robinson arrived in Wellington on Wednesday, the 26th inst. The day was observed as a public holiday. It is still undecided when the Waikato meeting will be held. We hear that Henare Matua will be a candidate for the Eastern Maori district. Henare Tomoana is also spoken of as an intending candidate.
