OF ANY CESSION OF BRITISH TERRITORY MR CHURCHILL’S ASSURANCE. REFERENCE TO AMERICAN PROPOSAL. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.0 a.m.) RUGBY, April 26. “There is not the slightest question of any cession of British territories—not the (slightest,” said Mr Churchill, in the House of Commons, replying to a question calling attention to a recommendation by a committee of the United States House of Representatives concerning permanent possession of bases leased from Britain. Mr Churchill added: “The House may rest assured that there have been no developments calling for review by the Government or the House of the existing position in this matter, which remains unchanged.”
