SENTENCE ON SCOTTISH BUSINESS MAN. MODIFIED BY HIGH COURT. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.55 a.m.) LONDON. December 19. The High Court in Edinburgh has allowed an appeal by N. G. Napier against the Paisley Sheriff Court order in October that his business, including 14 branches, be closed for a year because Napier was found guilty on charges of selling perambulators and other articles at excessive prices. The High Court squashed several charges and substituted for the closure order a fine of £l,OOO, with the alternative of three months’ imprisonment.
