KILLED IN ACTION

CORPORAL P. D. CONDON Mr and Mrs Maurice Condon, of Cornwall Street, Masterton, have received advice of the death in action overseas of their son, Corporal Patrick Desmond Condon. Corporal Condon, who was born at Eketahuna in 1918, was well known throughout the Wairarapa as he was in the employ of the Mauriceville Dairy Company as a driver. He was a keen sportsman and played tennis and football. He was a member of the Odd Fellows’ Lodge. Corporal Condon’s family will receive the sympathy of a wide circle of friends in their bereavement. Besides the parents the members of the family are Mrs Schwass (Nelson), Miss Condon (Masterton) and Messrs Maurice Condon (serving at present in New Zealand) and Edward Condon (Masterton).
