WAR PRISONERS

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS OF RECEIPT OF PARCELS. MANY CARDS BEING RECEIVED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Prisoners of War Inquiry Office states that acknowledgment cards, which are enclosed in every parcel sent, are flowing freely back. Cards received come from Stalag VII. A, 11. D, IX. C, V. 8., XVIII. D, XVIIIA, 306 XVII. D, and Oflag IX. A/H. These are for the first batch of parcels with acknowledgment cards, sent about October. Many bear the date January, but a majority of them February. These cards will be sent on to the senders of parcels, who are asked to refrain from making individual inquiries to the office regarding parcel acknowledgment It will be of great assistance to the censors if unused clothing coupons being returned are pinned to the contents list.
