N.Z. LADIES’ TOURNAMENT ABANDONED EPIDEMIC OF MUMPS AND MEASLES. The Wairarapa Ladies’ Hockey Association has been advised that owing to an epidemic of mumps and measles in Blenheim and a consequent difficulty in obtaining billets, the New Zealand ladies’ hockey tournament which was to have been held at Blenheim at the end of this month, has been abandoned.
